Data Privacy Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Privacy Compliance Manager to join our team at Sandhills Global, Inc.
The estimated salary for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.

As a Data Privacy Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data privacy strategies and programs across our organization. You will work closely with our data managers, legal team, IT team, and business stakeholders to ensure that data collection, storage, processing, and sharing are aligned with applicable laws and standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing data privacy strategies and programs across the business
- Managing the implementation of Privacy by Design throughout the organization
- Collaborating with data managers, legal and IT departments, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance with data protection regulations
- Monitoring and auditing data privacy risks, evaluating their impact, and implementing appropriate controls
- Coordinating data mapping, impact assessments, and other data privacy initiatives and projects
- Providing guidance and training on data privacy best practices and issues
- Developing and maintaining data privacy policies addressing applicable regulations
- Assisting with data subject access requests, data deletion requests, and other privacy-related inquiries from individuals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or master's degree with major in Data Management, Computer Science, Law, or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in compliance or data privacy
- Professional understanding of relevant data privacy laws and regulations
- Effective communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across the company
- Ability to handle complex and sensitive data privacy matters and maintain confidentiality
