About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Ansco & Associates, LLC. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in the installation and repair of underground and aerial utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, trenchers, and directional bores, to ensure safe and efficient completion of projects.
  • Perform clearing, grading, and excavations on construction sites, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Restore properties and work sites to their original condition after completion of projects.
  • Perform general construction work, including physical labor, under the direction of a Foreman or Supervisor.
  • Other duties as necessary.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
  • Valid CDL Class A, preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
  • 1-3 years minimum experience within the Utility Construction/Maintenance industry.
  • Prior experience with installation/repair/maintenance associated with underground utilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance.
  • Ability to work as needed (over-time, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call).
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
