Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Ansco & Associates, LLC. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, trenchers, and directional bores, to install and repair underground and aerial utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including backhoes, trenchers, and directional bores, to install and repair underground and aerial utilities.
  • Perform clearing, grading, excavations, and other equipment functions on construction sites.
  • Restore properties or worksites as needed after installation and repair of underground and aerial utilities.
  • Perform general construction work, including physical labor, under the direction of a Foreman or Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States for this company.
  • Have a valid CDL Class A, preferred.
  • Have basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Have basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Be able to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
  • Have 1-3 years minimum experience within the Utility Construction/Maintenance industry.
  • Have prior experience with installation/repair/maintenance associated with underground utilities.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
  • Be able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance.
  • Be able to work as needed (over-time, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call).
  • Be able to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Be able to work in all weather conditions.
