Training Program Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Training Program Manager to join our team at Air Education and Training Command. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning, administering, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive internal training and readiness program for all nonappropriated fund (NAF), appropriated fund (APF), military, and volunteer employees assigned to the Force Support Squadron (FSS).
Key Responsibilities- Develops the Force Support Squadron training plan.
- Develops education and training materials and testing procedures.
- Conducts training courses.
- Secures classroom space and announces upcoming classes.
- Manages the Force Support training program.
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Training Instruction Series, 1712.
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Examples of specialized experience include:
- Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s);
- Supervising or administering a training program;
- Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results;
- Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of service-based programs and objectives, processes involved in military and civilian training programs, and/or processes relating to training programs in parallel business and industry organizations.
- Knowledge of the methods, principles, practices, and programs related to curriculum development, instructional techniques, and training resources, as well as the principles, techniques, and objectives of test and measurement.
- Knowledge of basic budget preparation as it applies to preparing operating and capital expenditure training budgets.
- Skill in developing course materials and presenting formal and informal courses and briefings.
- Ability to gather, develop, and analyze a variety of data and to make recommendations based on analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
