Purpose & Scope:

The Clinical Technician II plays a vital role in the healthcare team, working under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. This position requires empathy, strong communication, and nursing skills to provide exceptional patient care.

The Clinical Technician performs a variety of routine duties, including direct patient care, observing patient changes, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and transporting patients. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and are committed to ongoing education and professional development.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Equivalent experience is also necessary. The Clinical Technician must be enrolled in or have completed a Clinical Technician II program or equivalent, or have successfully completed medical/surgical clinical experiences and didactic training.

Experience:

A minimum of six months of experience as a Clinical Technician I or equivalent clinical experience is required. The Clinical Technician must have completed the CORE skills for Clinical Technician II and have a strong understanding of patient care principles.

Certification/Licensure:

BLS certification is mandatory. Additionally, the Clinical Technician must have a minimum of six education hours related to their current role.
