Position Summary: ARA is on a mission to establish a robust business line focused on quantum technology solutions that address critical national challenges. We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Principal Technologist to spearhead our initiatives in quantum computation and sensing. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in fields such as Quantum Algorithms, Quantum Hardware, and Numerical Optimization, coupled with a proven track record in business development and technology leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the growth of Quantum Sensing and Quantum Inspired Algorithms to tackle significant national issues.
- Lead proposal efforts, respond to RFIs and RFPs, and actively pursue business development opportunities.
- Formulate and implement a strategic growth plan focusing on system design, algorithm development, and hardware solutions for modeling and simulation applications.
- Establish and execute a comprehensive annual plan aimed at developing a quantum technology portfolio with substantial revenue targets.
- Collaborate with a talented team of mathematicians, physicists, and engineers to address complex, large-scale problems in a rapidly evolving field.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering with specialization in quantum computing or related fields.
- Extensive experience in developing technologies for quantum applications.
- Demonstrated success in business development within the quantum technology sector.
- Experience in formulating and executing strategies for government clients.
- Deep expertise in Quantum Algorithms, Quantum Hardware, or related areas.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently in developing project timelines and achieving objectives.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active security clearance with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information.
- Knowledge of electromagnetic warfare applications.
- Experience in integrating AI/ML technologies into solutions.
- Familiarity with computational techniques relevant to quantum computing and modeling.
