We are seeking a qualified Medical Director to join our leadership team and uphold the highest medical standards within our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the clinical laboratory department, including molecular diagnostics and immunohistochemistry
  • Provide leadership across various functions and serve as a medical expert
  • Guarantee that services meet the highest quality standards, are cost-effective, clinically relevant, and executed promptly
  • Engage in critical managerial decisions and guide laboratory operations, including staff selection, method evaluation, equipment procurement, quality assurance, quality control, and safety protocols
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (CLIA/CAP, NYSDOH)
  • Maintain and regularly update all quality control measures and standard operating procedures
  • Oversee the review and approval of molecular clinical reports and pathology slides
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address significant medical inquiries

Qualifications:

  • MD with eligibility for a medical license in Georgia
  • Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and Molecular Genetic Pathology
  • Possess or be eligible for a New York State Certificate of Qualification in genetic testing
  • Extensive experience in establishing and/or maintaining CAP/CLIA accredited laboratories
  • Clinical expertise in next-generation sequencing technologies
  • Strong managerial, organizational, communication, and reporting skills
