Job Summary

Aircraft Worker: Fuels Specialist is a critical role at Amentum, requiring a skilled professional to repair, maintain, and inspect aircraft structures, systems, and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation maintenance, with a focus on fuels systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain aircraft structures, systems, and components under the technical direction of an Aircraft Mechanic or Lead.
  • Remove and install aircraft components, conduct functional tests, and perform adjustments, alignments, and rigging of aircraft systems.
  • Inspect and identify aircraft corrosion for prevention and repair, and perform crash recovery duties as required.
  • Perform assigned tasks within the work center to support necessary functions of the job classification.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance directives, and data reporting is mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of Air Force supply procedures, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining parts and materials.
  • Completion of high school with courses in mathematics is desirable, and a basic applicable aircraft maintenance course is mandatory.
  • Qualification as Aircraft Worker is mandatory, with a minimum of three years of experience in installing, inspecting, repairing, or overhauling aircraft structures, systems, and components.
  • Must have held a 2A6X4 (Fuels) Air Force Specialty Code or civilian/sister service equivalent, and a minimum of four years of documented experience on F-15s and/or F-16s.
  • SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED.
