Job Description

Citigroup Inc. is a leading global bank seeking a skilled Executive Financial Strategist to join its esteemed team in New York, New York.

As an Executive Financial Strategist, you will be responsible for providing expert financial guidance to clients across various sectors, including power, utilities, and renewables. Your primary objective will be to conduct in-depth financial analysis to help clients make informed decisions. This will involve assessing client needs, developing sophisticated financial models, and presenting financial information to clients.

You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with internal product partners to identify sources of debt financing and execute the process of placing the debt. Additionally, you will oversee equity financing by identifying the most suitable type of equity for each instance and quantifying it, while collaborating with product partners to execute the equity placement to investors.

To excel in this role, you will require a deep understanding of corporate finance, valuation, and regulatory bodies managing the sector. Your experience should include 7 years of progressive experience as a Banker, Investment Banking Associate, Associate, Senior Analyst, or related position involving investment banking in the power, utilities, and renewables sector.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct financial analysis to help clients make informed decisions
  • Develop sophisticated financial models using corporate finance techniques
  • Presentation of financial information to clients
  • Oversee client coverage and monitor deal execution of advisory and financing mandates
  • Collaborate with internal product partners to identify sources of debt financing
  • Execute the process of placing the debt
  • Oversee equity financing by identifying the most suitable type of equity for each instance and quantifying it
  • Collaborate with product partners to execute the equity placement to investors
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 7 years of progressive experience as a Banker, Investment Banking Associate, Associate, Senior Analyst, or related position involving investment banking in the power, utilities, and renewables sector
  • Experience in corporate finance, valuation, and regulatory bodies managing the sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

In addition to the salary, our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), life, accident, and disability insurance, and wellness programs.
