Job Overview

The Strategy & Planning Team at T-Mobile for Business works closely with executive leaders to develop and execute business strategies. As a Senior Business Strategist, you'll focus on identifying growth opportunities, tracking market trends, and delivering insights to inform critical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects and work closely with internal stakeholders to understand key business issues, structure complex analyses, and influence key decisions.
  • Synthesize recommendations and understand their impact on the business.
  • Develop executive-level presentations and present complex findings in a clear, concise, and visually compelling manner.
  • Identify company and competitor trends impacting T-Mobile for Business and deliver insights to executives across the organization.
  • Build financial and other decision-making models, such as market share and business case estimates.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to gain buy-in and drive change.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities, such as Earnings Call and Board of Directors preparations.
  • Craft messaging tailored to specific audiences, including summarizing past performance results and future growth initiatives.
  • Support strategy project leads on ad-hoc team deliverables.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Economics, Statistics, or related field (Required)
  • Master's/Advanced Degree in MBA - Finance, Strategy, Economics (Preferred)
  • 7-10 years of experience in Management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or other related fields requiring quantitative analysis and executive presentation skills (Required)
  • Less than 2 years of experience in B2B, Product Strategy, and/or Telecom (Preferred)
  • 4-7 years of experience in Strategy and Problem Solving, including framing complex problems, identifying key issues that impact business decisions, and providing data-driven recommendations (Required)
  • 4-7 years of experience in Financial modeling and Analytics, including developing financial models and performing financial and operating analysis and reporting (Required)
  • Less than 2 years of experience in Project management, including managing projects independently, engaging and getting buy-in from stakeholders, creating roadmaps and project plans (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strategy: Proactive problem solver who can break ambiguous problems into pieces using a hypothesis-driven approach. Ability to frame problems, use strategic frameworks, develop strategies (Required)
  • Business Acumen: Business Model: Knowledge and understanding of business models, pricing strategies, channel management. Analytical and data-driven, comfortable triangulating data to estimate market sizes and build financial models (Required)
  • Financial Analysis: Ability to build financial models and develop qualitative analysis, perform sensitivity analysis. Comfortable reading and understanding implications of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements (Required)
  • Communication: Ability to synthesize analysis into succinct, executive-ready written, visual, and verbal communications. Ability to articulate rationale and present in front of senior leaders. Effective communicator who knows how to bring structure and clarity to situations where direction is limited (Required)
  • Problem Solving: Critical Thinking: Ability to think through complex problems. Intellectually curious, enjoys researching about new technologies and products. Natural hustler with a contagious can-do attitude (Required)
  • High Performance Teams: Team player, adept at working with others to overcome obstacles and gain alignment to achieve results (Required)
  • Project Management: Ability to think a few steps ahead, to lay out thoughtful and achievable project plans in a disciplined manner. Understand how to engage others and what information and data is needed to achieve goals (Preferred)
  • Telecommunications: Wireless and technology industry: Knowledge of the wireless / telecom industry and technology sector (Preferred)
