Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our Emergency Department team at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide competent clinical nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including their medical history, physical condition, and emotional status, to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to promote best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • One (1) year of nursing experience.
