We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team at UNC Health. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide competent clinical nursing care to patients with complex problems, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to professional standards.
- Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and others, attending education programs and using patient education materials relevant to the patient population.
- Evaluate patient care and communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care, seeking guidance as needed in revision of the plan of care.
- Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs, utilizing healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures in delivery of care.
- Develop relationships with families that promote their ability to advocate for the patient and their own needs, assessing and anticipating discharge needs of individual patients and families.
- Collaborate with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care, making use of available multidisciplinary resources in planning care.
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- One (1) year of nursing experience.
This position is employed by UNC Health, a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. This is not a State employed position.
