Job Summary

Sierra Central Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our branch, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a manner that is consistent with our credit union's values and mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to branch staff, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity, while maintaining high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the management of branch cash and assets, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service: Foster a culture of excellent customer service, ensuring that all members receive a high level of service and support.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to branch staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all branch activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and credit union policies, identifying and mitigating any potential risks.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; five years of experience in a credit union or financial institution preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and supervisory skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in basic computer functions and Office programs.
  • Experience: Five years of experience in a credit union or financial institution, with a strong foundation in cash handling and branch processes.

  • Must be able to travel to other locations on short notice to fill-in where needed or as staffing needs dictate.
