Job Overview

We are looking for a committed and skilled Event Operations Supervisor to become a part of our esteemed team at St. James Hotel.

The ideal candidate will oversee and assist in managing banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and other personnel, ensuring that all events are conducted seamlessly while delivering outstanding guest experiences and achieving total satisfaction.


Primary Responsibilities:
1. Direct and oversee the activities of banquet staff, including servers and bartenders.

2. Foster staff efficiency through clear communication, coaching, and performance evaluations.

3. Implement systems, policies, and procedures while providing training and development opportunities.

4. Act as the department leader in the absence of the manager, representing the hotel to clients and vendors.

5. Address and resolve service-related issues to uphold high levels of guest satisfaction and staff performance.

6. Ensure all banquet areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner, following established schedules.


7. Proficiently utilize Point of Sale, Sales & Catering, and Inventory Management systems for billing and inventory control.

8. Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new personnel, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

9. Adhere to all Health Code regulations to guarantee the safe handling of food and beverages.

10. Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
