Responsibilities:

Position Summary:
The individual in this role will be accountable for overseeing the workflows associated with the billing process and revenue cycle management. This position will collaborate with outpatient departments to enhance charge capture, ensure compliance, and improve operational efficiencies. The role reports directly to the Senior Director of Clinics and Support Services.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Gathering data to prepare precise and timely journal entries for the monthly closing of the general ledger, adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and organizational procedures;
  • Managing the financial closing process for a designated facility, including accruals, variance analysis, communication with relevant departments, and final reporting;
  • Evaluating and approving complex financial data for various reporting needs, both internal and external, including regulatory submissions and audit documentation;
  • Reviewing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and conducting account analyses that necessitate advanced accounting knowledge.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of current experience in outpatient billing and coding, along with a solid understanding of outpatient revenue cycle operations;
  • An associate's degree from an accredited institution or one of the following certifications: CPC, CCS, or CHC;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Training in Charge Description Master (CDM) and revenue integrity functions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Clinical experience is preferred;
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent operational experience is preferred;
  • CDM training in relevant systems is preferred.
