POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager to foster a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment. This position is pivotal in ensuring that our core values and guiding principles are integrated into all store activities, including overseeing sales operations, safeguarding assets, and managing human resources functions to deliver an exceptional customer experience while maximizing profitability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance Management:
  • Evaluates sales reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify business needs; collaborates with the Store Manager to implement effective sales strategies.
  • Sets clear expectations and holds the store team accountable for meeting brand standards and performance metrics.
  • Manages payroll and supply budgets efficiently.
  • Oversees daily operational tasks such as scheduling, conducting shrink audits, managing physical inventory, and ensuring payroll accuracy.
  • Ensures compliance with financial policies, including cash handling and transaction accuracy.
  • Maintains adherence to all relevant laws and loss prevention protocols; conducts training to reinforce compliance.
  • Administers operational processes, including inventory management and merchandise replenishment.
  • Ensures that the store's visual presentation aligns with brand standards.
  • Fosters a high-performance culture by motivating the sales team to achieve sales and productivity targets.
  • Provides training and coaching to enhance product knowledge among the sales team.

Team Development:
  • Inspires and motivates the store team, cultivating a shared vision while exemplifying core values.
  • Encourages a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Communicates effectively with store teams and the Store Manager to facilitate positive changes.
  • Actively seeks personal development opportunities and solicits feedback to enhance leadership skills.

Customer Engagement:
  • Models and promotes exceptional customer service standards, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Demonstrates sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers in making informed choices.
  • Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Ensures a smooth and efficient checkout process, staying updated on payment policies and procedures.
  • Maintains consistent communication with clients through customer engagement initiatives.

Talent Management:
  • Assists in recruiting and developing a high-performing team.
  • Supports and implements training programs and initiatives.
  • Evaluates and coaches team performance regularly.
  • Collaborates with the Store Manager to resolve human resources matters efficiently.
  • Recognizes and rewards team members for exceptional performance.
  • Ensures compliance with employment practices and policies.

OTHER DUTIES:

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. This role may vary across different brands.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in retail management.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to adapt to company-provided technology.
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence with a proven track record in sales and leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Knowledge of retail operations and administrative functions.
  • Ability to engage with customers and staff effectively.
  • Regular attendance is essential to meet operational needs; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular climbing as part of operational duties.
