Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and have a positive attitude. The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support to the medical staff.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and provide a warm welcome
- Answer phone calls and address patient concerns
- Schedule appointments and gather necessary information
- Make copies of insurance cards and IDs, medication lists, and referrals
- Provide new patient paperwork and explain HIPAA-related forms
- Field and triage patient questions
- Confirmation phone calls for appointments and follow-up calls for cancellations and reschedules
- Check out patients, collect payments, and schedule follow-up appointments
- Update and scan patient chart notes and document patient encounters
- Process and follow up on referrals
- Insurance verification
- Minor office cleaning and upkeep
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and self-motivation
