Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Quipt Home Medical. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for liaising with patients, referral sources, and other team members to coordinate patient care.

You will assist patients in-person and over the phone, maintain patient charts, process patient orders, create delivery tickets, and coordinate scheduling. You will also perform referral operations such as order intake, customer service, insurance verification, documentation verification, prior authorization, and scheduling.

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will ensure that referrals and other patient requests are addressed or processed in a timely manner. You will work with teammates to resolve customer complaints and escalate complaints to leadership when necessary.

You will provide feedback to leaders to help improve business practices and assist in creating ways to deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with patients, referral sources, and other team members to coordinate patient care
  • Use software systems to communicate effectively and keep a record of all patient contacts
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of products and services offered by Quipt Home Medical
  • Answer phone calls, return voicemails, route calls to proper team members, and correspond with patients via email
  • Perform referral operations such as order intake, customer service, insurance verification, documentation verification, prior authorization, and scheduling
  • Ensure that referrals and other patient requests are addressed or processed in a timely manner
  • Work with teammates to resolve customer complaints and escalate complaints to leadership when necessary
  • Provide feedback to leaders to help improve business practices and assist in creating ways to deliver excellent customer service
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
