About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief I to join our team at KCI Technologies, Inc. As a Survey Party Chief I, you will be responsible for leading and supervising survey crews, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection, and maintaining high-quality field notes and records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead survey crews to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects
  • Conduct site visits to inspect and verify survey data, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements
  • Develop and implement effective survey strategies to optimize data collection and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure seamless integration of survey data into project plans and designs
  • Train and mentor junior surveyors to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Maintain accurate and detailed field notes, records, and reports, adhering to company policies and industry standards
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including participating in cross-training and professional development opportunities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in surveying, engineering, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 4-8 years of experience in surveying, with a strong background in leading and supervising survey crews
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality survey data and services, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and industry standards, including ALTA, topographic surveys, and construction surveys
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel nationally as required
