ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Survey Field Assistant, you will work under the guidance of the Party Chief to facilitate various surveying tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing for daily survey activities by ensuring all necessary equipment is ready and operational.
  • Reviewing site plans and other relevant documents to effectively execute surveying tasks.
  • Conducting various types of surveys, including leveling, traversing, and boundary surveys.
  • Utilizing and maintaining surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS equipment, and levels.
  • Locating and interpreting control and boundary monuments in the field.
  • Transporting equipment and personnel to job sites as required.
  • Organizing equipment and supplies in storage areas to maintain efficiency.
  • Leading small teams on straightforward projects to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Managing daily assignments for field crew members, including data collection and documentation.
  • Adhering to all safety and operational protocols while performing job duties.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned by supervisory staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Familiarity with standard field surveying techniques and equipment.

SKILLS:

  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Analytical thinking skills.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-1 years of relevant experience in surveying or related fields.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
