Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate Director of Development to join our team at the Wilmer Eye Institute. As a key member of our Development and Alumni Relations team, you will play a critical role in securing philanthropic support for our institution's mission of patient care, research, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure major gifts for the Wilmer Eye Institute.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, administrators, and donors.
  • Manage a portfolio of annual and major gift prospects, conducting identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external constituents to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Develop and implement effective communication and outreach strategies to engage alumni, patients, and donors.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to donors, faculty, and staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five years of professional experience in fundraising, development, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in securing major gifts and developing effective fundraising strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong computer literacy skills and ability to learn new software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience in healthcare or higher education fundraising.
