Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Operator to join our team at Goulston Technologies. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for safely performing all duties related to packaging operations, including accurately filling containers from correct tanks, transporting finished products to staging areas, and ensuring that all production entries are completed and accurate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Comply with written packaging instructions, including the sampling process.
  2. Confirm that batch appearance matches specified appearance for product.
  3. Maintain clean containers with legible labels.
  4. Clean empty tanks, pumps, lines, etc.
  5. Properly store and label partially filled product containers. Accurately maintain weight and location through ongoing cycle counts.
  6. Generate batch reports to review accuracy of packaged weights of containers.
  7. Scan all batch records in a timely manner to provide permanent records.
  8. Ensure the operability of equipment is maintained to high standards.
  9. Knowledgeable in handling of chemical spills and actively participates in clean up.
  10. Maintain good housekeeping standards at all times.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least 1 year of related experience and training.
  • A valid forklift license.
Language Skills

You will need to be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Mathematical Skills

You will need to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. You will also need to be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Reasoning Ability

You will need to be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. You will also need to be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Competencies

You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
