Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Maintenance Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our production facilities, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Production to manage the frequency of preventative maintenance and act as a liaison between production and maintenance to improve turnaround time on planned jobs.
  • Develop and lead the area maintenance strategy as one cohesive organization.
  • Supervise and direct construction projects from conception to completion, working cooperatively with construction workers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Coach and hold the team accountable for safety, behavior, performance, and quality.
  • Provide daily prioritization for the team, including the execution of the planned schedule.
  • Manage performance, coach, and develop direct reports, and cultivate an atmosphere of engagement and learning within the maintenance team.
  • Evaluate training and staffing needs on an ongoing basis to ensure appropriate, qualified resourcing that meets business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate degree. Journeyman Card holder in one respected field is required (Electrician, Millwright, or Pipefitter).
  • Proven significant experience in industrial manufacturing operations.
  • Proven significant supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven significant experience with Process Safety Management.
  • Proven significant experience with High Voltage, Instrumentation, Control Valves, PLCs, Rigging, and Rotating Equipment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Physical Ability: Must pass respirator fit testing and be capable of donning personal protective equipment. Must be able to actively participate in chemical plant emergency response.
