Position Summary:

The Celebration Coordinator, under the guidance of the Party Coordinator and in collaboration with department Managers, leads individual celebration events. This role is essential in creating a joyful and memorable atmosphere for all participants.


Shift Details:

  • Primarily scheduled from Friday to Sunday
  • Shift timings vary based on operational needs
  • Occasional holiday shifts may be required

Key Responsibilities:

Event Preparation:

  • Adhere to the event agenda provided by the Party Coordinator.
  • Confirm catering orders, scheduling, and public session activities with the Party Coordinator and clients.
  • Arrange table decorations and party supplies.
  • Assist in various preparation tasks as needed.

Event Management:

  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of event areas before, during, and after the celebration.
  • Welcome parents, guests, and the celebrant upon arrival, guiding them to their designated area and explaining the event timeline.
  • Assist participants with skate fitting and tying.
  • Provide verbal instructions on and off the ice according to the event agenda.
  • Organize and lead several games on the ice.
  • Encourage full participation in activities, with special attention to the guest of honor.
  • Ensure the party contact settles any outstanding payments.
  • Oversee the cleanup of party areas, including the removal of tables and chairs, and continuous clearing of used items during the event.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow Celebration Coordinators under the direction of the Party Coordinator to ensure a cohesive event experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in ice skating.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Prior experience in recreation or childcare is advantageous.
  • Ability to fulfill the physically demanding aspects of this role.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a cold environment.
