Job Summary

Fehr & Peers is seeking an Experienced Transportation Engineer to lead the evaluation, selection, and design of various transportation system solutions for a range of communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate conceptual designs and construction documents for transportation engineering projects
  • Collaborate with staff at all levels while conducting field work and coordinating with members of complete streets engineering and planning teams
  • Engage in discussions with clients and communities, and provide on-the-job training
  • Offer innovative and well-thought-out design solutions that align with client objectives and adhere to the latest best practices established by NACTO and similar organizations
  • Manage project tasks and assign technical staff as necessary to deliver projects to clients

Requirements

  • 4-10 years of experience in transportation engineering
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban and regional planning, or a related major
  • Currently hold a California professional engineer's (PE) license in Civil Engineering, or have the ability to obtain through reciprocity within one year
  • Experience applying Caltrans, MUTCD, and AASHTO design standards on a variety of projects
  • Experience developing construction documents (final design, PS&E) for traffic engineering projects
