Key Responsibilities
Café Performance & Community Relations (20%):
- Oversee menu performance in collaboration with Culinary and Operations teams
- Provide insights to enhance marketing strategies aimed at boosting sales
- Build and nurture guest relationships to encourage repeat patronage
- Establish connections with community stakeholders to elevate organizational presence
Kitchen Management (30%):
- Set and uphold service standards within the kitchen
- Manage supply orders and inventory levels
- Assist in scheduling, menu planning, cost analysis, inventory management, labor oversight, and compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate family meals and special menu items, ensuring efficient product use and cleanliness in storage
- Maintain kitchen facilities and equipment in accordance with health standards
Student Development & Guidance (50%):
- Lead back-of-house student training, contributing to the culinary curriculum and initial café training sessions
- Serve as a mentor, exemplifying professionalism, work ethic, organization, and hygiene
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment
- Maintain open lines of communication with students and the program team
