We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in the Hospital Based Clinics Float Pool. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care and support administrative duties in a fast-paced medical practice.
Key Responsibilities- Assist medical and nursing staff with patient care, including taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine administrative tasks, such as answering telephones, updating patient records, and scheduling appointments.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, perform basic laboratory tests, and dispose of contaminated supplies.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician, and authorize drug refills as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA I, II, or III).
- At least 1-3 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, depending on the CMA level.
- Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA, and BLS certification.
