We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Duke Health Integrated Practice. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant, Certified will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including intake and registration, vital sign collection, and medication administration. You will also assist providers with procedures, participate in performance improvement projects, and float in clinic to cover patient and provider needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform intake and registration, including vital sign collection and clinical information
  • Administer medications to patients as ordered by providers or by established protocols
  • Assist providers with procedures, such as EKGs
  • Participate in performance improvement projects
  • Float in clinic to cover patient and provider needs
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA
  • BLS certification
