Job Summary

The Material Handler I is a critical role within the M.C. Dean organization, responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and equipment throughout our facilities. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Inventory Management: Receive, verify, and count stock items, maintaining accurate records and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Inventory Control: Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage inventory levels, optimize storage space, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, discrepancies, and equipment maintenance, providing regular reports to management.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
  • Skills: Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook, with excellent reporting and tracking skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, work at heights up to 60 feet, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous materials. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
