Prevention and Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Prevention and Education Specialist to join our team at SafePlace. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing prevention education programs for youth and adults in the areas of sexual assault, relationship violence, gender-based violence, stalking, and sexual harassment.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires a high level of creativity, flexibility, and commitment to our mission. You will work closely with community leaders and school partners to build and expand prevention education within our community. Additionally, you will provide training on sexual assault, prevention, and teen dating violence issues for all staff.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement prevention education programs for youth and adults
- Work with community leaders and school partners to build and expand prevention education
- Provide training on sexual assault, prevention, and teen dating violence issues for all staff
- Respond to crisis situations and provide advocacy services to survivors
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. social work, counseling, education)
- 1-2 years of experience in crisis intervention, advocacy, or prevention education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
The salary for this position is $ 21.61 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays, and paid time off leave.
