Education and Development Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Education and Development Specialist to join our school-based team in Mock City. As an SLPA, you will support a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in providing therapy to students, helping them overcome communication challenges and reach their educational goals within a supportive school setting.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing individualized therapy plans that cater to each student's unique needs.
- Providing direct therapy to students under the supervision of an SLP, ensuring a tailored approach to meet their requirements.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, maintaining accurate data records for assessment and evaluation purposes.
- Supporting classroom teachers in understanding and reinforcing students' speech and language needs, promoting a collaborative environment.
- Preparing and organizing therapy materials and activities, ensuring a seamless experience for both students and staff.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
- Washington state SLPA certification or eligibility.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- A background in education or pediatric settings, although not required, is considered an asset.
