**About the Role:**

VCU Health System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Ambulatory Clinical Nurse II to join our team. As an essential member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and a multidisciplinary plan of care.
  • Safely administer prescribed medications, identifying potential incompatibilities and interactions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to prevent illness and injury, maintain wellness, and provide comfort.
  • Mobilize resources to meet the individualized needs of patients and families.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level and serve as a role model for junior nurses.

Requirements:

  • Clinical experience: 12-24 months RN experience (Clin II) or 3 years of clinical experience (Clin III)
  • Education: Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program recognized by the corresponding state's Board of Nursing
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible/compact state
  • Certification: AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Academic healthcare experience
  • Experience with similar patient populations in acute care settings
  • Certification in specialty area (Clin III)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged standing, sitting, bending, walking, and reaching
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous substances

Estimated Salary Range:** $75,000 - $95,000 per year. Please note that salary may vary based on qualifications and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
