We are seeking a skilled Ambulatory Clinical Social Worker to join our team at the Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center. In this role, you will work closely with patients and their families to provide emotional support and help navigate the healthcare system.

As an Ambulatory Clinical Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to individuals living with various types of cancers. This includes adjusting to diagnosis, identifying social drivers of health, addressing financial barriers to care, and engaging patients in advance care planning discussions.

This is a full-time position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and provide education to patients and staff on psychosocial issues related to cancer.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a Council on Social Work Education-accredited program and be licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Virginia. Previous experience in clinical social work, particularly in acute care settings, is preferred.

In addition to competitive salary ($90,000-$110,000 per year), we offer comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

This position may supervise social work students on a voluntary basis. Depending on unit assignment, you may be required to work alternate schedules, weekends, or holidays, and take call. Business casual attire is expected, and the Health System follows CDC guidelines for hand hygiene and fingernail care.
