About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ambulatory Nursing Professional to join our team at VCU Health. This role is an excellent opportunity for registered nurses to develop their clinical expertise and leadership skills in an ambulatory setting.

Job Summary

The Ambulatory Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and contributing to the prevention of illness and injury. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and integrated plans of care
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to prevent illness and injury, maintain wellness, and provide comfort
  • Recognize changes in patient situations and intervene appropriately
  • Mobilize resources to meet individualized patient needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • CURRENT RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state (Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire)
  • A minimum of 12 to 24 months RN experience (Experience REQUIRED: Clin II)
  • Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program recognized and/or approved by the corresponding state's Board of Nursing (Education/training REQUIRED)
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in academic health care or similar patient populations is preferred (Experience PREFERRED: Clin II, Clin III)

Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $68,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
