Position Overview:


As a Quantum Scientist, you will utilize your profound knowledge of quantum physics and academic research methodologies to investigate and analyze quantum phenomena and the field of quantum information sciences. This includes areas such as quantum computing, quantum communications, and quantum sensing.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Apply advanced functional and industry knowledge to develop solutions for complex problems.

2. Conduct independent research with minimal supervision while mentoring junior team members.

3. Engage in the collection, manipulation, analysis, and interpretation of extensive data sets.

4. Implement artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in research projects.

5. Communicate intricate concepts effectively to diverse audiences through written and verbal means.

6. Collaborate with a team that values diverse backgrounds and expertise.

7. Contribute to scientific publications in the fields of quantum algorithms or quantum materials.

8. Maintain eligibility for security clearance as required.


Qualifications:


1. Bachelor's degree in Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Science.

2. Proven experience in quantum mechanics and research related to quantum computing.

3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantum information processing or related fields, ideally through academic internships or post-doctoral studies.

4. Experience in project management for scientific initiatives.

5. Strong programming skills and familiarity with data science methodologies, including analysis and visualization.

6. Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

7. Doctorate degree in a relevant field is preferred.


Work Environment:


This role may involve remote or hybrid work arrangements, requiring periodic presence at client sites or Booz Allen facilities, depending on the specific requirements of the position.
