Software Development Engineer III

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer III to join our Global Digital organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing successful solutions for the semiconductor business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop instrument control software for controlling the next generation of electron microscopes
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle from inception to completion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 5+ years of experience with writing software for controlling hardware
  • Up-to-date knowledge and in-depth understanding of C++

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Object Oriented Design, State Modeling, and Test Driven Development
  • Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE and .NET technologies
  • Experience with micro-services architecture patterns
