Job Title: Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented R&D engineer with expertise in scientific computing and software development to join our Synopsys TCAD team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Python/C++ infrastructure for physics-based simulation platforms, including fast and accurate simulation of nano-scale semiconductor devices, interconnects, and circuits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement Python/C++ API components
  • Design and refactor C++ libraries for efficiency
  • Build framework for high-performance PDE solvers
Requirements:
  • PhD or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
  • Strong design/programming skills in C++ and Python
  • Strong background in High Performance Algorithms and Data Structures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Parallel programming (TBB, OpenMP, MPI)
  • Experience with build systems
  • Experience with containers, cloud native coding
  • CAD modeling
  • Background in computational geometry and applied mathematics

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this role is between $114,000-$170,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a competitive total rewards package.
