Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our team at ICON Consultants, LP. As a key member of our IT Operations team, you will be responsible for deploying, administering, and maintaining critical enterprise applications to ensure reliable user access and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and administer enterprise applications to ensure seamless user access and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with development, GIS, and infrastructure teams to deploy custom applications hosted on IIS with SQL Server backends.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application stack, leveraging strong knowledge of network, server, and virtualization fundamentals.
- Administer and support the IT Service Management (ITSM) platform, including workflow development, to automate business processes and improve system interoperability.
- Develop and support automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline business processes and reduce manual efforts.
- Partner with the Security team to enforce security standards in workflows, data exchanges, and application configurations.
- Enable and support integrations across platforms using APIs, webhooks, and automation tools to enhance system interoperability.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for application vendor support, managing upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and day-to-day support.
- Develop process documentation, workflows, knowledge articles, and self-service guides to empower users and streamline operations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance application performance, streamline administration, and reduce manual efforts in collaboration with relevant teams.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in IT operations with a focus on application, network, or systems administration.
- 4+ years of experience managing complex, multi-tiered enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of networking, server administration, and virtualization fundamentals.
- Experience with platforms like ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, Client Kingdom, Client EDM, Tibco Spotfire, Schlumberger Petrel and Studio, Halo ITSM, SolarWinds, Office 365 Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and custom .NET web applications with SQL backends.
- Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server administration.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Additional Information:
- This role requires adaptability and a proactive approach to ensure efficient and resilient IT operations.
- The Business Application Specialist will also serve as a backup for other IT Operations staff to maintain continuity of support.
