Position Overview:
The University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a dedicated individual for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty role in the field of Comparative Ophthalmology. This position is available at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, contingent upon the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our established ophthalmology program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging in clinical service and teaching, dedicating 50-75% of time to these activities.
  • Contributing to the development of an ophthalmology internship and residency program.
  • Providing state-of-the-art ophthalmologic care to a diverse range of patients.
  • Offering consultations to veterinary colleagues and community veterinarians.

Clinical and Teaching Duties:
The appointee will be involved in:

  • Clinical service delivery, utilizing newly acquired advanced equipment.
  • Didactic and laboratory instruction for DVM students, interns, and residents.
  • Training programs for ophthalmology technicians and continuing education for practicing veterinarians.

Research and Scholarship:
