Job Title: Systems Engineer

About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our N211 Army Mission Command Networks team. In this role, you'll assist in the development of technical approaches focused on the design, development, integration, and testing of tactical radios systems. You'll engage with stakeholders to analyze operational requirements, address communications network challenges, and apply sound technology solutions to advance the state of communications and networking.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop experimental architectures and assessment methodologies to inform network transformation.
  • Support test and field experimentation events to experiment with network architecture concepts and emerging technologies.
  • Offer subject matter expertise in developing network architectures, network components, and network studies.
  • Evaluate commercial technologies and recommend systems integration strategies to modernize the network.
  • Lead and direct technical assessments of communications and networking components to inform systems design decisions.
  • Lead and direct trade studies and technical assessments.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a BS Engineering or related field; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
  • Possesses an understanding of Army network interfaces, challenges, and deployment.
  • Knowledge of current Army radios, waveforms, and network kit.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering practices and testing, including requirements development, analysis & traceability, and requirements management.
  • Ability to write technical reports and/or present briefings of analysis, findings, and recommendations to Government sponsors.
  • Good communication skills and ability to present highly technical material to a diverse audience.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Army C4ISR tactical systems, integration challenges, and network modernization goals.
  • Army signal experience.
  • Active TS/SCI.

Clearance Requirements:

This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s): Secret.

This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s): Top Secret/SCI.

Work Location Type:

Hybrid.
