Position Overview:
In the role of Lead Appian Solutions Architect at Caelum, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and deployment of comprehensive solutions utilizing the Appian Low-Code Automation Platform within the Microsoft Azure Cloud framework.
Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will be vital in converting business needs into scalable and efficient applications, ensuring seamless integration and peak performance. You may also oversee a small team of Appian developers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Direct the complete development lifecycle of Appian applications, from requirement analysis to deployment and ongoing support.
2. Design and structure solutions that leverage the Appian Low-Code Automation Platform within the Microsoft Azure Cloud framework.
3. Configure and develop workflows and customized user interfaces using the Appian platform to implement complex business rules.
4. Utilize expertise in Business Process Management & Reengineering to enhance workflows, incorporating robotic process automation and/or AI features to boost user efficiency.
5. Create dynamic user interfaces and comprehensive applications.
6. Integrate with web services, databases, or other systems to develop process models and executable workflows.
7. Analyze and resolve technical issues within Appian design components.
8. Collaborate with stakeholders to grasp business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and designs.
9. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers, ensuring compliance with best practices and standards.
10. Lead and coordinate the efforts of a small team of Appian developers towards achieving project goals.
Education and Experience Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity) along with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Alternatively, candidates with a non-related degree but possessing technical certifications and at least 5 years of experience will be considered.
At least 3 years of experience in developing enterprise applications using the Appian Low-Code Automation Platform, including configuration, deployment, and testing of enterprise business software applications, particularly those based on Appian systems. Experience in business process modeling and optimization is essential.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Cloud services and technologies, including Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.
Strong grasp of software engineering principles, design patterns, and industry best practices.
Experience with Agile/scrum development methodologies and tools.
Excellent problem-solving, design, communication, and presentation skills.
Familiarity with business process modeling and reengineering techniques and tools (such as Visio, Metastorm, Aris, MagicDraw, etc.). Knowledge of JavaScript and SAIL is also beneficial.
Required Certifications:
Appian Certified Senior Developer or Certified Lead Developer.
