About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Plus One Health Management Inc. As a key member of our fitness center operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and wellness programs to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Site Leader: Provide assistance to the Site Leader in all operations and staffing aspects of the fitness center, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain Quality and Service: Communicate with clients and team members to encourage feedback and maintain the highest quality and service standards within the fitness center.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on all aspects of service delivery, including exercise training sessions, written exercise prescriptions, training session record keeping, and fitness assessments.
  • Exercise Specialist: Perform the tasks of an Exercise Specialist when necessary, ensuring that members receive the highest level of service and support.
  • Team Development: Ensure team members remain current in their certification credentials and complete all assigned on-boarding, education coursework, and training.
  • Professional Development: Complete internal development courses through our learning management platform, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
  • Teaching and Training: Opportunity to teach group fitness classes and provide personal training services, dependent on operational needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Exercise Science, Dance, Physical Education, Kinesiology, or Business Management.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of experience in a fitness center or spa facility with close interactions with members and guests.
  • Certifications: Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Industry Knowledge: Must be knowledgeable about the fitness industry and possess excellent customer service skills to network, engage, and interact with all clients, guests, and participants.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively engage participants as a public speaker.
  • Technical Skills: Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
