About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at Forward Dental - New Berlin location. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health history to provide quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
  • Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Forward Dental, like each Heartland Dental supported office, is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Our 17-person office team thrives on collaboration, communication, and community. We have a culture of collaboration, fast-paced, and rebuilding.

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
  • If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
