Patient Services Associate

Job Summary:This is a PRN position that requires flexibility and adaptability. The Patient Services Associate will assist with various administrative tasks, including patient registration, scheduling, and billing. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient-focused approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Greets and interacts with patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Registers patients, collects demographic and insurance information, and verifies patient identity.
- Schedules appointments, cancels/reschedules appointments as needed, and updates patient records.
- Handles patient inquiries, resolves issues, and provides excellent customer service.
- Assists with billing and insurance-related tasks, including verifying insurance coverage and obtaining pre-authorizations.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic and insurance information.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and contributes to a positive and supportive work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of medical office experience or customer service experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
