Patient Services Associate

Penn Medicine is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service. As a Patient Services Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and attention.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Excellent Patient Service: Greet patients in a pleasant and professional manner, listen carefully to their needs, and communicate clearly to ensure understanding.
- Manage Patient Flow: Coordinate patient arrivals and departures, manage patient calls and inquiries, and update patient insurance and billing information.
- Perform Point of Service Activities: Obtain insurance cards, copays, signatures, and referrals as required, and update EPIC accordingly.
- Ensure Patient Safety and Security: Identify opportunities to improve patient experience, ensure confidentiality, and maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Collaborate with Clinical Staff: Work effectively with clinical staff and fellow coworkers to provide seamless patient service.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: 2+ years of medical office experience or 4 years of customer service experience
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in EPIC and other automated systems
