Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and coordinate internal and external appointments and procedures for patients, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of care.
  • Appointment Management: Manage and resolve appointment conflicts proactively, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Communication: Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, staff, and providers, ensuring that all necessary instructions and information are conveyed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the provider lead team(s) to ensure that patient care plans are executed effectively, and that all necessary changes are communicated promptly.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the office, including sorting and routing incoming mail and faxes, scanning records into the electronic medical record, and assisting with training new staff.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; certificate of completion from an accredited program for Medical Assistant or Medical Secretary Certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year prior clerical and/or Medical Secretary experience in a healthcare field, oncology experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Medical Terminology: Knowledge and application of medical terminology required.
  • Electronic Medical Records: Previous experience with electronic medical record systems required.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional customer service experience required.
