Position Overview:

During this 12-week paid internship, participants will work on significant projects that contribute to our business while receiving mentorship from Eaton's distinguished leaders. The Eaton Internship Program in Operations Management is designed to develop interns through hands-on manufacturing and operational experiences, as well as support personal growth in leadership skills through training, networking, and coaching. Interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of leadership and functional responsibilities within operations. Potential areas of focus for Operations Interns include:

Upon completing the internship and graduating, your experience and newly acquired skills may lead you to various career paths, including our full-time Operations Management Development Program.

Required Qualifications:


• Currently enrolled in or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree program in engineering from an accredited institution


• Minimum overall GPA of 2.8


• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship


• Must be willing to relocate within the United States

Preferred Qualifications:


• Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program with a focus on mechanical, electrical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering


• Overall GPA of 3.2 or higher


• Previous internship or co-op experience


• Completion of sophomore year by the start of the internship


• Demonstrated leadership experience in campus or community activities


• Proficiency in a second language

Position Criteria:


• Interest in pursuing a leadership role in operations


• This position may involve travel (up to 10%) as determined by the internship assignment


• Transportation to and from the worksite is the intern's responsibility; however, expenses for approved business travel will be reimbursed


• The internship concludes with a formal presentation where interns will showcase their achievements to organizational leaders and receive performance feedback.
