We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Specimen Processing Technician I to join our team at Bryan Health. As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities- Process and distribute laboratory blood and body fluid specimens to departments for analysis.
- Enter laboratory orders and patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor and track supply and reagent inventory.
- Verify and maintain laboratory policies and procedures.
- Assist with data entry, inventory management, and reagent verification tracking.
- Support patient waived test analysis and stay competent in this testing through regular training.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication with hospital staff and patients.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a laboratory environment preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
This is a medium work position requiring exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
