Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Specimen Processing Technician I to join our team at Bryan Health. As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and distribute laboratory blood and body fluid specimens to departments for analysis.
  • Enter laboratory orders and patient information accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor and track supply and reagent inventory.
  • Verify and maintain laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Assist with data entry, inventory management, and reagent verification tracking.
  • Support patient waived test analysis and stay competent in this testing through regular training.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with hospital staff and patients.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a laboratory environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions

This is a medium work position requiring exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
