Job Overview

MIKEL INC is in search of a dedicated Engineering Technician to support our Code 25 Lab Operations and Maintenance. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless operation of our facilities, which function continuously across three shifts, including weekends and holidays.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with laboratory enhancements and providing services for lab equipment as outlined in our technical contracts. As part of the Infrastructure Department, you will thrive in a dynamic environment, contributing to various Code 25 combat system initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and maintain an electronic log of activities.
  • Respond to requests from customers through our electronic work request system.
  • Provide logistical support, including material inspection and preparation for shipping and receiving.
  • Support Media Center operations, which includes managing classified materials and inventory.

Additionally, the technician will be expected to:

  • Understand and follow protocols for handling classified information.
  • Become proficient with the Base Inventory Tracking System (BITS).
  • Manage the check-in and check-out process for media used by customers.
  • Ensure compliance with Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of or eligibility for an active Secret Clearance.
  • Strong technical skills and familiarity with electrical and water-cooling systems.
  • Experience with various interface cables, including Ethernet, coax, and fiber optics.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer functions.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify problems and propose solutions based on established guidelines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
