Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Grubb Properties. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our properties, ensuring that they are safe, clean, and well-maintained for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Operations: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all properties, including apartments, common areas, and amenities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate with the Property Manager to schedule maintenance tasks, ensure timely completion of projects, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that maintenance work meets our high standards, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Resident Relations: Provide excellent customer service to residents, responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., facilities management, construction management) preferred.
  • Experience: At least five years of experience in maintenance operations, facilities management, or a related field.
  • Certifications: CPO certification required; CFC Type I & Type II certification required; CFC Universal certification preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of maintenance operations, facilities management, and construction principles; excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and move about to coordinate work.
